A typical Boop session takes around an hour. The dogs generally tell us when they're done. When you come to our studio, we typically let dogs sniff around the new environment to get really comfortable (one of our tricks to capturing great expressions). We've had sessions as short as 20 minutes and as long as 90 minutes. We try to keep the session going until we capture the art that we're after.
Please do! The relationship you share is part of the story, and these portraits often become some of the most meaningful images we create. If you prefer the spotlight to stay entirely on your dog, that’s wonderful too. We take our time during our Boop sessions and have time for lots of different options.
Yes! Fun! We can create individual portraits of each dog as well as portraits of them together. During your consultation, we’ll talk about their personalities and relationships so we can plan the session accordingly.
Since our photo boxes and wall art are crafted in Italy, you'll typically receive your art within about 3 weeks. We keep you informed every step of the way. And, if you are giving the art that you're creating and the timeline isn't fast enough, we can create a sample printout for you to give in your gift while the lucky recipient waits for it to arrive... 🙂
For a full explanation, please visit our Scheduling page. But, as an overview, the Boop portrait session will be $500. After your session, we'll go through all of the photos together and you can choose the ones that you want to keep. Those chosen photos are professionally retouched so they will look their best for years to come. Packages vary depending on how many photos you'd like and whether you'd like physical art (portraits for your wall, etc) - and their sizes. But, to give you an idea, collections start at $250. Thanks!
Please tell us before your session so we can prepare properly. We’ll provide a calm, private environment, allow your dog time to become comfortable, and never force an interaction or pose. Your dog’s comfort and safety always come first.
After your session, we need a little time to edit some of the photos so you can see how they'll all look when you choose which ones you want. Then, we’ll meet again for your "big reveal" and ordering appointment. You’ll see a carefully curated collection of the best portraits, choose your favorites, and receive guidance selecting the artwork that feels right for your home.
Yes - all of the images that you choose in your package are also sent to you as digital images as well. Boop Photo specializes in creating finished artwork you can enjoy every day—not photographs that remain forgotten on a phone or computer. But, we want you to have lots of options.
Either choose a time on the Book page. Choose a convenient appointment using the calendar on that page. Or, feel free to give us a call where we can answer any questions that you may have and get you scheduled right over the phone. If you have questions or want to make sure Boop is right for you and your dog, schedule a complimentary call—we’d love to hear about them.
Absolutely. Most dogs aren’t trained models, and they don’t need to be. We work at your dog’s pace, use treats and playful sounds to capture their attention, and photograph quickly when the perfect expression appears. We are very patient and lots of times they get it when the same scenario is repeated multiple times.
Absolutely! Give us a call to discuss!
